This. I'm tired of self-help "gurus" peddling bullshit snake oil at a premium price.

Here's my issue: Most mental health professionals are either locked in the ivory towers of academia or hidden behind insurance paywalls of private practice. So the professionals aren't disseminating good information to help people. So who is?

The "gurus" prey on people desperate for solutions, but all they do is regurgitate third-hand information and "hacks" they don't actually understand.

I've been a therapist since 2014. I love helping real people overcome real problems. There aren't hacks, tricks, or secret interventions buried for centuries that will solve all your problems.

But with consistent practice, you can improve your life.

I'm not selling anything. My goal is to make psychology and mental health accessible by writing for publications like Medium.

If anyone is interested in book recommendations, the three I recommend to my therapy clients the most (no affiliates, just straight up awesome books):

The Daily Stoic, by Ryan Holiday

The Miracle of Mindfulness, by Thich Nhat Hanh

Man's Search for Meaning, by Viktor Frankl
