This is an important conversation more people need to have. Balancing high-achieving goals with the need to practice self-care.

One of the things I've been working with my therapy clients on is ways to practice mindfulness and gratitude during this pandemic and semi-quarantined life.

Practicing mindfulness and gratitude, in my mind, checks off both boxes because:

1) It's goal-oriented and you can track your progress, so the achiever in you is satisfied.

2) It's great self-care because it takes no money, no special mental or physical attributes, and can be done anywhere anytime.
